The interesting thing is the reference to Byron being the son of a Bulawayo stockbroker.
This would imply that at the time of Byron's WW1 efforts, Harry was in Bulawayo.

Agencies of various kinds were popular among the early comers to Bulawayo. Thus Harry Jacobs of Fife Street described himself as the "Popular Broker".
