1435 | I cannot find any entry for Henry after his Insolvency entry in 1859. I have tried America in case he followed his brother, Ernest, but nothing. He isn't living with any of his siblings in any of the censuses. 3/7/2021 Searching in Australia found three posssibles. The have been included just in case they are correct. My main reason for their inclusion is based largely on the fact that they are the only entries that I can find anywhere with his full name. Unfortunately I can find no Passenger List entries for Henry arriving in Australia. 5/7/21 There are in fact a number of reports in Australia of Henry Daniel Jacobs being involved in Insolvency cases: 1873 - https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/13315663?searchTerm=henry%20daniel%20levy 1873 - https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/18774621?searchTerm=henry%20d%20levy | LEVY, Henry Daniel (I4104)

1438 | I note that I have his date of birth as a range from 1817 - 1826 On the description record for him when he is transported in 1833 he is aged 18 making his DOB 1815 Given that he is transported in 1833 I think it very unlikely that that he was a 7 year old at the time - I know justice was harsh then, but I don't think it was that bad ? His marriage certificate to Fanny in 1849 gives his age as 23 making his DOB 1826 His marriage certificate to Emma in 1876 give his age as 52 making his DOB 1824 His death certificate in 1885 gives his age as 68 making his DOB 1817 So obviously it must have been Emma who gave his age at death and as it differs from that on their marriage certificate she must have known the truth Are we looking at a case of male vanity when it comes to his marriage certificates (or it could be female vanity - not wanting to be seen marrying an older man). At the end of the day I think that 1817 is much nearer the mark than 1824/1826. | JACOBS, Samuel (I824)
1439 | I originally had 4 children attached (Hannha, Julia, Amelia and Jane) based on the 1841 census. However Mike LeVoi brought to my attention that on the census there is a separator immediately after Guldah's name, implying that they aren't the same family. Mike also noted that there are no mentions of the children in Berger. I obtained Isaac's will and it only mentions his sister and wife, no children.
