He was playing in the gymnasium of the State School, and by some means fell, when the accident took place. He was conveyed to the Hospital, and is now doing as well as can be expected." | Jacobs, Lawrence Albert (I4137)

6763 | There are many Ancestry Trees that have Rachel marrying Jonas Lipman in 1849. However this seems to be an example of the 'Copy & Paste Disease' that seems prevalent on Ancestry these days. The Jacobs-Lipman marriage certificate clearly shows that Rachael's father is Judah Jacobs, whereas the Jacobs-Cohen certificate names Lewis Jacobs, Glassdealer as her father. More details can be found on the Jacobs Tree website:- https://jacobstree.co.uk/2020/02/22/rachael-jacobs-b-circa-1820/ [22/02/2020] | Jacobs, Rachel (I4713)

6769 | There is a possibility that he later went by the names Alfred James Jacobs. On his father's Death Certificate there is an Alfred listed as the first child, which fits. In 1903 there is am Alfred James living with what appear to be siblings David and Robert Orr Jacobs There is also a possibility that he married Ruby May Trayse in 1913 and later divorced her. However there is not enough information to prove this. See divorce papers: https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageviewer/collections/61565/images/47971_302022005615_2299-00001?treeid=184571914&personid=342414467722&usePUB=true&_phsrc=JJY10&_phstart=successSource&usePUBJs=true&pId=12536 | Jacobs, Humphrey James (I4102)
6770 | There is a possibility that Julius' parents were Adolph and Bertha and that Bertha's mother in law was Buna Ahrens This was found on Ancestry in the 1867 census for Mecklenburg-Schwerin. The family comprises of: Adolph Sussmann Bertha Sussmann Julius Sussmann Leopold Sussmann Buna Ahrens Rebecca Sussmann Minna Sussmann Isidor Sussmann They can be found using the following link (provided you have full Ancestry access) http://search.ancestry.co.uk/iexec?htx=View&r=5538&dbid=1066&iid=CSDEU1867_15185-0538&fn=Adolph&ln=Sussmann&st=d&ssrc=&pid=1228402 | Susman, Julius (I4414)
6771 | There is a will extract on SynagogueScribes which appears to fit. Two children are mentioned: Daughter Elizabeth and eldest son Moses. This implies that there are other sons. A Philip Jacobs is a witness. Elizabeth marries a Philip Jacobs the following year. Also indexed in TNA records as: Reference: PROB 11/1591/61 Description: Will of Angel Myers, Rag Merchant of White Street Cutler Street Hounsditch , City of London Date: 03 April 1817 Fact Flags: Preferred | Myers, Asher Anshel (I6168)

6773 | There is no trace of any marriage between Reginal Hugall and Matilda Rebecca Jacobs. Evidence for middle name is from Ellen's Baptism certificate. | Hugall, Reginald Herbert (I5082)
6774 | There is potential for confusion over the records of the Sun Fire Office insurance company. We have Henry and Philip associated with several properties both singly and jointly. Unfortunately it is not clear whether this refers to Philip and his BROTHER Henry, or his SON Henry, or even both at different times. The best indication that we have is that in 1819 we start to get policies as Philip Jacobs & Son. I have therefore made the assumption that before that date it is the two brothers. At present it suffices to identify that the Jacobs were associated with these addresses. | Jacobs, Henry (I815)

6777 | There is some confusion over her maiden name. Working through Berger I, and others, come to the conclusion that she is Catherine Davids. However, the will of Isaac Levy says that she is his sister i.e. Catherine Levy. However, in the will of Isaac Levy he refers to his sister Catherine, the wife of David Levy. Based on this I have made her Catherine Levy Can't find her in 1881 - she would have been 77 | Levy, Catherine (I5670)
6778 | There is some uncertainty about this child. In 1845 Moses is in court and a witness called Solomon Jacobs who describes himself as ' I am the brother of the defendant ( Moses Jacobs) ... he is an attorney at law and solicitor 101 Berwick Street'. This implies that he does exist under one name or another. | Jacobs, Samuel-Solomon (I4724)

There is one child, Robert Cecil Jacobs - born 24 June 1897 No details are given as to why the petition was abandoned and there is no response from Sydney. | Family: Sydney Jacobs / Theresa La Grange (F2085)

6789 | This is a boarding house. Married and 2 children with her. | Nerwich, Harriet Matilda (I3996)
6790 | This is a contentious entry as not everyone agrees that these three are the sons of Moses & Sarah. I have taken to decision to make the entry with this qualification in the hope that it can later be proved/disproved: Sampson Jacobs, Samuel Jacobs and Lawence Jacobs are charged with Larceny from a Dwelling. Note that in the newspaper entry from the 14th., Sampson is named as Sampson Marks but later articles refer to him as Jacobs. Samuel and Laurence (sic) were discharged and the case was dropped against Sampson. However the articles clearly link them as brothers. | Jacobs, Sampson (I4785)

6793 | This is a copy of an application for a birth certificate prepared by Alice herself. There is no matching entry in the BMD index. This implies that Alice either wasn't registered or was registered under a different name. Either way, Alice wasn't aware of this. | Source (S2181)

MP/LP/1804/13 From LMA Staff regarding entries for Lewis & Isaac Pesman: The only extra information on these documents other than what is described in the catalogue are the names of those who witnessed the signing. The 1804 document is witnessed by Lewis Pesman. The 1830 document is witnessed by Nathaniel Carter. No further family history details are given.
