    It looks as though Esther had left David by 1900.
    She has two children in 1900 and 1903
    Margueretta Hogan Jacobs - father would appear to be Hogan
    William Patrick Jacobs - Indexed as both Jacobs and Hogan
    Esther marries William Hogan in 1911 after David Jacobs dies.

    However, a court case in 1898 implies that Amelia and James Jacobs were also not David's.

    In the article it identifies that his wife has been unfaithful to him on numerous occasions with William Hogan. It further states that of her 6 children, only 5 are his.

    Notes:

    There is a possibility that he later went by the names Alfred James Jacobs.
    On his father's Death Certificate there is an Alfred listed as the first child, which fits.
    In 1903 there is am Alfred James living with what appear to be siblings David and Robert Orr Jacobs

    There is also a possibility that he married Ruby May Trayse in 1913 and later divorced her.
    However there is not enough information to prove this.

    However, reading her parents' court case of 1898, it throws doubt as to her father being David Jacobs as he claims that the two youngest children at that time (Amelia & James) were William Hogan's
